Water baptism is a public declaration of your faith in Jesus Christ. It symbolizes the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus—and your new life in Him. When you are baptized, you are showing the world that your old life is gone, and you are now walking in a new life with Christ (Romans 6:4). Baptism doesn't save you, but it's an important step of obedience, showing that you belong to Jesus and are committed to following Him.
