What We Believe
the Bible We believe the Bible is the divinely inspired Word of God. It alone is the final authority in determining all doctrinal truths. In its original writing, it is inspired, infallible and inerrant.
(Psalm 19:7-11; 119:89, 105, 130, 160; Proverbs 30:5-6; Isaiah 8:20; Luke 16:31; 24:25-27, 44-45; John 5:39, 45-47; 12:48; 17:17; Acts 1:16; 28:25; Romans 3:4; 15:4; Ephesians 6:17; 2 Timothy 3:16-17; 1 Peter 1:23; 2 Peter 1:19-21; Revelation 22:19; Hebrews 4:12)
the Trinity We believe in the triune nature of God. We believe there is one God, eternally existent in three persons: Father, Son and Holy Spirit. These three are co-equal and co-eternal.
(I John 5:7; Genesis 1:26; Matthew 3:16-17, 28:19; Luke 1:35; Isaiah 9:6; Hebrews 3:7-11; Acts 5:3-4 John 15:25)
the
Salvation Experience We believe all have sinned and come short of the glory of God and are in need of salvation. Salvation has been provided through Jesus Christ for all men. We believe that we are saved by grace through faith in Jesus Christ; His death, burial, and resurrection. Salvation is a gift from God, not a result of our good works or of any human efforts. (Ephesians 2:8-9; Galatians 2:16, 3:8; Titus 3:5; Romans 10:9-10; Acts 16:31;
Hebrews 9:22)
the
Baptism of Holy Spirit We believe in the baptism of the Holy Spirit with the Bible evidence of speaking with other tongues. When we are born again we receive the Holy Spirit within for character. In the baptism of the Holy Spiritwe receive the Spirit upon for power. The baptism of the Holy Spirit is a gift subsequent to salvation and available to all believers. The evidence that someone has received the Holy Spirit upon is that they speak with other tongues. (Acts 2:38; 1 Corinthians 14:5; Acts 1:8; Acts 2:1-4; 1 Corinthians 12:8-10; Acts 10:44-46; Acts 19:2-6)
the Church. We believe the church consists of all those who have received Jesus Christ as their personal Savior.
(Ephesians 1:22, 2:19-22; Hebrews 12:23; John 17:11, 20-23)
the Resurrection We believe there shall be a bodily resurrection of the just and the unjust.
(Luke 24:36, 39; John 2:19-21, 20:25-29, 21:4; Acts 24:15; 1 Corinthians 15:42, 44; Philippians 1:21-23, 3:21)
the Second Coming We believe in the personal, visible, imminent return of Jesus Christ. Jesus Christ will physically and visibly return to earth for the second time to establish His Kingdom. This will occur at a date undisclosed by the Scriptures.
(Matthew 24:30, 26:63-64; Acts 1:9-11; 1 Thessalonians 4:15-17; 2 Thessalonians 1:7-8; Revelation 1:7
the Sacrements We believe in water baptism and the observance of the Lord’s Supper.
(Matt. 28:19; Rom. 6:4;John 6:48,51,53-57; Luke 22:19,20; 2 Pet. 1:4; 1 Cor. 11:25
Healing We believe that healing provided in the redemptive work of Christ and is available to every believer.
(Psalm 103:2-5; Isaiah 53:3-11; Matthew8:16-17; Mark 16:17-18; Acts 8:6-7; James 5:14-16;
1 Corinthians 12:9, 28, 1 Peter 2:24)
